How it works

1.Enter your poster to the competition via the submit link only. You will then receive a confirmation email to acknowledge that your posters have been submitted successfully.

2. Your posters will then be reviewed by the National Jury.

3. A selection of 15 highly-rated entries will be curated by the Jury and they will select the winner.

4. Selected posters will be promoted via social media and might be printed for expo.

5. You will be contacted via email if your poster is one of the highly-rated entries selected by the National Jury.

6. 1st (Prize: MUR 25 000) will be awarded. Shortlisted designers will receive a certificate of participation.

The Organizing Committee has the right to adjust the dates of the intermediate and final stages of the competition.

Poster Submit
1. Individual submission or group submission of (2-5 designers max) is allowed.
2. The posters will be judged on :
  • Coherence and relevance to the theme;
  • Concept, creativity and originality;
  • Aesthetic quality and visual impact
  • Ability to communicate a clear message
Eligible country

Participants must have Mauritian citizenship (living in Mauritius or abroad), including designers from Rodrigues and Mauritian designers from all around the planet. <3

Contest Guidelines

1. The participation is free. The competition is open to graphic designers, illustrators, graphic artists, etc (students, graduates, amateurs, and professionals).

2. Poster submission must be PDF, A3 size, 29.7 x 42 cm (vertical), 300 dpi with a trim dimension of 5mm. (RGB, 5MB max)

3. Posters of any technique(s) (typography, illustration, digital art, images, 3D, traditional art, or mixed media..) are eligible. The final artworks must be a digital file (created using a design software).

4. Your final poster should be designed using a design software. We reserve the right to ask you to share your work file for verification, if needed.

5. The language to be used for messages/slogans on the poster should be either in English, French or Mauritian Creole.

6. The poster must be created between 2022-2023 and unpublished anywhere online and offline, neither it should be client work. Submitted posters must not have been exhibited, published, or awarded anywhere before.

7. Only one submission per participant (you can either participate once as individual submission OR once in a group submission).

8. The poster must have a title and descriptions explaining the design.

9. Content submitted on the poster entry form must be accurate. It is not possible to change the content once submitted.

10. There should not be any logo, institution name, brand name, brand identity, anything belonging or representing a person or a brand in the designs.

11. Posters encouraging hate speech, racism, xenophobia, discrimination or violence are not eligible. At Branditup Studio we value human rights. And animal rights, of course.

Terms & Conditions

1. Plagiarism is frowned upon, regardless of its form.

2. The poster you will be submitting is an original artwork created by yourself.

3. A participant may be asked  to provide all relevant proof of the accuracy of any submitted information to the satisfaction of the Organizers or if needed to select the winner.

4. The poster submitted by you does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyright, or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity.

5. You may not use, distribute, or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights.

6. All matters concerning the copyright of the entry are the sole responsibility of the entrant. The organiser (Branditup Studio) will not be held liable for any breach of proprietary rights.

7. All selected posters will become part of Branditup Studio archive. Branditup Studio has the right to exhibit and publish the works, with no time limit.

8. The entrants retain full ownership of their entry and are guaranteed the right to be credited every time their work is published or exhibited.

9. The protection of your personal data is important to us. By submitting your work through the form, you agree to your personal information being stored and used by Branditup Studio. No third-parties, we promise.

10. Branditup Studio may modify the terms of, or cancel, the competition in its discretion.
